OBJECTIVE:

I am seeking employment with a company that offers opportunities for my professional growth.  Preferably an opportunity that will benefit from my existing skill set and offers me new challenges.

I have extensive experience in Project Management. Each company I have worked with has used my skills to coordinate, plan, and drive projects to completion with contract fulfillment and customer satisfaction as the focus. Project types include hardware, software, or a combination. 

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Onsite liaison for Computer Aided Manufacturing product specializing in user input and standardized output (Intergraph).

Managed barcode product tracking development and installation which resulted in a $100K+ yearly process savings (Intergraph).

Managed the implementation of design for manufacturability process across Engineering Depts. and in-house Manufacturing Facility (Intergraph).

Managed the design and installation of automated printed circuit testing equipment along with ISO certification (Intergraph).

Lead Project Manager for 3 year software automation collaboration between Korean Government engineering group and RedHat.

Expanded $250K kernel development project to over $2M design effort with Symbol Technologies by on time deliveries and excellent support response (RedHat).

Consultant / Technical Sales Support.  Sales support for document management products. Product development and sales support for Drug Court products.  Responsibilities include:  Provide consulting service for potential customers and recommend solutions to solve their technology needs. Develop and present product presentations at trade shows and customer sites.  Provide technical input for marketing materials and website content to be used to generate interest in CIMSgts products and services.  Interface with product development and improvements with the Drug Court products.  Conduct training sessions and provide technical support for end users on all product offerings.

 

From 5/2005 7/2009            Cabinet NG Incorporated, Madison, AL

Region Manager for the Mid-west region.  Sales support for Cabinet NG’s product line of document management products.  Responsibilities included:  Evaluate customer needs and recommend solutions.  Negotiate contracts with customers.  Recruit and support resellers.  Develop and present product presentations at trade shows and customer sites.  Generate website content with the marketing group.  Interface with product development on product improvements.  Conduct training sessions and provide technical support for end users.

           

From 8/2000 5/2005            Red Hat Incorporated, Huntsville, AL

Project Manager in the Embedded Systems and Global Professional Consulting group.  I managed software projects from device drivers to Embedded Systems on portable handheld devices to Microsoft Certification of device drivers.  Responsibilities included:  Managed multiple complex projects.  Set and tracked team member responsibilities.  Set and maintained project schedules.  Provided conflict resolution leadership.  Monitored and facilitated communication among all project participants by implementing project web sites, mailing lists, and discussion groups.  Used project management methodologies and tools.  Coordinated with the sales group to identify additional business opportunities.

Solutions Specialist in the Design Division, providing technical sales support for PCB Manufacturing Company. DDI specializes in high technology printed circuit boards. The Design division is a consulting service.  Responsibilities included:  Worked closely with sales and regional management to uncover large service opportunities.  Analyzed business issues to reduce cost and time to market constraints.  Identified and recommended solutions at all levels of customer management.   Managed key activities that added value solutions to customer.  Implemented a follow-up plan to determine the success of services provided. 

 

From 10/97 - 7/98                  VeriBest Incorporated, Madison, AL

Project Manager in the Consulting Services Group. This group provided consulting services for existing and new customers. Primary function was adding value to the EDA software tools. This consisted   of hardware design from schematic design to printed circuit board layout and manufacture. Responsibilities included:  Technical support for the sales force used to generate business proposals.  Managed projects to assure timely delivery of programs and design services.  Developed and maintained program plans to insure customer time to market needs was met.  Managed project team and delegated assignments. Primary contact for manufacturing processes.  Served as the primary contact for all communication with the end customer.  

 

From 5/81 - 10/97                  Intergraph Corporation, Madison, AL

 

4/95 - 10/97, Customer Support Engineer in the Operating Systems Customer Support Group.  This group is responsible for providing technical support to internal and external customers and provides solutions to reported problems.  Responsibilities included:  Resolved customer’s software or hardware problems.  Collected data to support software and hardware modification.  Supported installation and maintenance of company and third party product applications. Hardware platforms include NT, DOS, UNIX and VAX operating systems.  Developed technical documentation for use in customer support database.

8/88 - 4/95, Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer in the PCB Manufacturing Facility.  Responsibilities included:  Customer support and training for CAD/CAM projects. Involved in the design and installation CAM software.  Interfaced with printed circuit board customers to establish requirements and provided direction with manufacturing design problems.   Evaluated and implemented new hardware and software products. Provided support documentation for manufacturing requirements.  Coordinated manufacturing requirements with hardware design groups.  Provided input on cost reduction and design streamlining at the project planning level.  Provided engineering support for laser photo-plotters, bare board testers, CNC drill/route, and optical inspectors. This included ISO9000 documentation.

 

11/82 - 8/88, Senior Technical Manager in Technical Support/Sales group.  This group provided product demonstration and technical support for sales presentation and trade shows and directed software design groups on product content.  Responsibilities included:  Made sales calls and on-site presentations.   Designed product presentations for trade shows and seminars.  Coordinated logistics of manpower and hardware for seminars and trade shows.  Provided technical direction to internal software development groups based on customer input or requirements.  Developed training programs for customers,  sales and technical support personnel.

5/81 - 11/82, Senior Systems Engineer in Engineering Services group.  Worked with Project

Engineers to design schematics and layout printed circuit boards using Intergraph's Computer Aided Design software packages.  Responsibilities included:  Designed and verified schematics using Intergraph's schematic capture software.  Provided netlist and bill of materials for engineering evaluation.  Laid out printed circuit boards and connections using manual and automatic methods.  Resolved design problems with the manufacturing groups, including manufacturability and cost reduction by design.  Trained new employees on the use of Intergraph's CAD/CAM software packages.

EDUCATION:

B. S. degree in Math with a minor in Computer Science from Athens State College.
